What Clients Say

In their words

SR

Suraya Razak

Bangsar South, KL

"We'd been living in the apartment for three years without doing anything to it — always felt like too much to organise. The Space Assessment changed that. Nadia came, spent a couple of hours with us, and what she produced actually captured how we wanted to live in the space. Practical, not just pretty. We went on to do the full design package shortly after."

Kevin Loh

TTDI, Kuala Lumpur

"I appreciated that they told me upfront what was realistic for my budget. No upselling, no pressure to do more than I needed. The design brief they prepared was clear enough that my contractor could follow it without calling me every day. That alone saved me a lot of time. One suggestion I'd have is that the initial timeline estimate was slightly optimistic — finished about 10 days later than discussed."

Aisyah Nordin

Damansara, Selangor

"Daniel was thorough and genuinely thoughtful about how I'd use the studio. I had some specific needs around storage and display, and instead of overriding those with something more 'designerly', he worked around them. The 3D renders helped me understand exactly what the finished space would feel like — I changed my mind about one element after seeing them, which was the whole point."

Marcus Tan

Petaling Jaya, Selangor

"We used all three services for our terrace house renovation and having one studio handle the whole journey made things much easier. Kamilia's renders were detailed — the real thing matched them closely. What surprised me most was how well they handled vendor sourcing; they knew which suppliers were reliable and saved us from one who had been causing problems for others."

Mont Kiara, KL

"I had a sense of the look I wanted but couldn't quite articulate it. Nadia was good at drawing it out — she asked questions I hadn't thought to ask myself and the style mapping document was genuinely useful. It became a reference I kept going back to during the renovation. My only note: the site visit takes a bit longer than an hour, so clear your schedule."

Zul Ahmad

Ampang, KL — Café owner

"We opened a café in Ampang and needed the space to feel welcoming without being overdone. Loft & Fern understood the brief immediately — warm, tropical, functional, not trying too hard. They were clear about costs at every stage and the contractor brief made the build go smoothly. Our customers regularly comment on how comfortable the space feels."

Case Studies

Three projects, three different needs

Challenge

Bangsar apartment, second bedroom used as storage

A young couple had a second bedroom that had become a storage room by default. They wanted it functional — guest room, home office, and occasional yoga space — without major renovation works.

Approach

We started with the Space Assessment, which helped clarify priorities. A full design package followed, focused on built-in storage, a convertible sleeping arrangement, and lighting that worked across all three uses. No demolition required.

Outcome

Room finished in 6 weeks. Guest bed folds away cleanly, the office desk is usable without clearing the surface, and the couple commented that it was the first room in the flat that felt genuinely designed rather than assembled.

"We use every part of it now — that's never happened before."

Challenge

Photography studio, Cheras — layout wasn't working

A photographer had a studio unit with good natural light but a layout that forced awkward setups and poor client flow. Equipment was always in the way, and the space felt cluttered regardless of how it was arranged.

Approach

The project started with the Complete Design package. We redesigned the spatial flow, introduced proper equipment storage along one wall, and specified flooring and ceiling treatments that worked for both photography and video. Project Follow-Through managed the build.

Outcome

The reworked studio has been in operation since early 2025. Setup time for shoots dropped significantly, and the client has been able to take on larger bookings. Total project duration was 11 weeks including the renovation.

"The space finally works the way I always wanted it to."

Challenge

Family home, PJ — renovation without disrupting feel

A family wanted to update a double-storey house they'd lived in for many years. The challenge was refreshing materials and layouts without losing the warmth and character the house had accumulated over time.

Approach

We worked through the Complete Design package with a particular focus on understanding which elements of the existing space the family valued. The design retained several original features while updating joinery, finishes, and lighting throughout.

Outcome

Renovation completed in 13 weeks. The family noted that the house felt renewed but still recognisably theirs — which was the brief. The kitchen and living area were highlighted as the most successful changes.

"It still feels like our home. Just better."
